(Bandaid / Consolation for room no. 4)  |
June 1995, "Gullkistan, 16 artdays at Laugarvatn". Group exhibition held in Laugarvatn, a small school community 90 km from Reykjavík. Organized by Alda and Kristveig Halldórsdóttir. At the time Alda was the community nurse at Laugarvatn. 104 visual artists took part in the exhibition and about 50 other artists, musicians, poets and actors took part in the event which was held inside three school buildings with dormitories / summer hotels. Also many events took place in other localities and outside, all around the village. Title: Sárabót fyrir herbergi nr. 4" Material: Bandaid 5 meters, red oilpaint, red sewingmachine thread, dormitory room number 4 and audience. Method: Painting and embroidery.
