January 2000 Opening January 22nd
Dialogues with the Collection.
Five artists and an art historian made an exhibition with works from the collection of The Living Art Museum. Each artist did his own exhibition in different spaces of the museum. The group met regularly with the art historian who wrote an article in the catalogue.

The art collection of The Living Art Museum is a collection of works given by it's members as prescribed in the Laws of the foundation. Members are to give a piece of art every five years. In the last decade few have obeyed this order so most of the works in the collection are old.

I wrote a letter to the founders of The Living Art Museum (founded on January 5th 1978 and asked them to choose an old piece by themselves from the collection and on the occasion to give a new piece. Most of them took part in this idea.

I myself became a member in 1994 and had not yet given a piece. I gave The LAM one piece from 1994 and also one new piece that can be seen here to the left.
