Dear Alda Siguardardottir

Invitation and description of the artproject called The little garden / THE LITTLE GARDEN – artwork.

The project is based in my home, mentioning that the project represents my own understanding of artwork as a mixture of theory, art, history and in some ways social life; every four related in debate regarding artwork and feministic matters. The project does not include work with art as commodity. I had a garden in my former home, and that garden was used to make documentations and presentations of artwork (processual work of art and art-related material). The projectsite, the garden, is now a place turned into a conceptual spot called Punctum. Punctum relates to feministic concerns in artwork in the way it works out a ‘multiexchangeable’ place for working with art as process. The core is work which has conceptual sympathies and which relate to feministic subjects.

There’s a project-periodic which comes out four times a year, approximately, and contains articles, documented artwork and other relevant material.

Exhibition in
The little Garden

Hi Charlotte! Here is the material for my work in THE LITTLE GARDEN. It is a box of 40 divers self adhesive bandaids. I ask you to take part in creating this work and doing so involve in a way your own measurements of feelings.

I want you to put a fitting bandaid to any place in your home / work / elsewhere you go - where there is any connection / relationship - physical / non physical - to; pain, sorrow, anger, disappointment, or any other feeling that may use some kind of consolation - for you or someone you know or feel for - near or far, real or fictious ...

I would like you to add bandaids during the whole exhibition period and you donŐt have to finish the bandaids and you may need to buy more???

I ask you to photograph them for me. You do not have to explain anything.

Thank you very much,

Alda
