Today is March 4th and Fridros has gone home now leaving us feeling rather lonely while getting back to a new routine.
I heard that this February is among the warmest on record and that it has never rained less in Singapore during this season since records started.
You can imagine how happy we are having the AC unit we acquired in Kudat, now the temperature goes easily up to 35 in the shadow during the day and although it does not rain very much it seems to me to be unusually humid outside, especially early in the mornings.
We did not jog much while Fridros was her, but this morning I went a short circle and felt the heat and humidly as early as seven o'clock.
According to the Icelandic newspapers on the internet it has been snowing quite a bit at home now, so Fridros will be really feeling the difference.
Kári is not keen on a massage, thus I did not much notice the magnitude of all types of massages that are on offer everywhere here. But Fridros soon caught on and we became frequent visitors to a number of such establishments, further to that Fridros managed to get a qualified Thai massager to teach her some tricks of the trade. Massage being along the line of what she is learning at home, this became a welcome addition to her knowledge.
One day as we were on our way to yet another massage parlour we caught the bus and happy to have a seat comfortably started looking around as one does. Soon Fridros stated quietly "the girl in front of us is crawling with lice" and sure enough as soon as my spectacles were in place I saw not only the amazing amount of eggs all over her hair, but also the very lively creatures, one of which had ventured on to the back of her chair and seemed quite intent on moving away from "old crowded neighbourhood". Thus Fridros and I quickly got up and stood until we go off at the next stop which was ours.
We, however were not bothered more than so that we did not hesitate to take a bus home after our luxurious massage.
Now we are rolling up our sleeves slowly preparing to approach necessary jobs on our Lady Ann. Last week Kari repaired the starter who has sometimes not been in the mood to wake up when necessary.
But he has to also take a good look at Mr. Perkins before we leave here. I really do not like the idea of an unreliable engine while going down the river here, through the very crowded waters around Singapore and if we decide to head towards Langkawi I definitely want Mr. Perkins to be agreeable through the Malacca Strait.
Maybe we will leave Danga Bay Marina at the end of March?
