Theodor Helgi - Teddy Tiny

August 27th 2004 my brother Kristinn and his girlfriend Guðrún brought a little baby boy into the world. He was big and healthy and had red hair and blue eyes. He is my mom and dad's first grandchild and he is my first nephew. He is also the first little baby that I own a little bit of. I can pick him up and kiss him and cuddle him as much as I want be cause I am his aunt and love him to death!

Recently Kristinn and Guðrún took Teddi to the hospital because they were worried that he might not see very well. He turned out to be VERY farsighted and thus has to wear glasses. It is the cutest thing in the world. Tiny 3 month old baby with glasses! And they are so thick that his eyes look enormous.

But unfortunately it turned out to be not so simple. A doctor did some more tests on him and spoke to another doctor in Boston and they have now realized that Teddi Tiny will very likely end up blind. Kristinn and Guðrún will be taking him to Boston in January for further tests.

But, one must always look on the bright sides. Teddi is a very cheerful and happy child, he's big and strong and he has a big family that loves him more than anything in the world. Even if he ends up blind we will still love him, if anything, we'll only love him more. We will be more protective of him, we will work hard to make sure that he lacks nothing and we will be with him at all times to make sure that he recognizes us all and we will learn to be more accepting and understanding of all things that are different. He will give us all the world and we will work as hard as we can to make him happy and content and loved even if he can't see.
