Nasser, Gamal Abdel (1918 - 1970)
Gamal Abdel Nasser, president of Egypt in the Suez-conflict in 1956, chooses to underscore his name in the same way as Polansky.Yet there is a difference between them. In Nasser´s signature we can also see the line that covers his name and by that fact alone we do have a totally different approach to life.
By referring to this formation as a frame which it indeed is we see the secretive and concealing nature of the writer. One who is capable of running things undercover and one who really don't care about the credit or blame for it as such. However lets make it clear that Nasser did care about the final outcome, he had his pride and his aim was to bring to an end a situation that his nation could be satisfied with. Therefore, referring to the frame again, Nasser had to have his shelter from evasing danger from the outside as well as from his own countrymen who surely would throw him from his position if the outcome was not in their favour.
The powerful formation of the frame shows us a self-assertive man with self-confidence and courage. He is suspicious but he has also got friends that will support him towards every danger possible, friends in need whom he can always depend upon. This can be seen inside the frame.
This signature is written from the right to the left as is the case in the oriential countries, but the final conclusion or specific observation from letter formations is just the same; it makes no difference at all.
The signature is however very special as it gives opportunity to come in contact with the thought pattern of president Nasser, leader of the Egypt, and understand his actions by examining the formations in his signature.
