Hólavallagarður Cemetery

The image above shows the relief Dagur (Day) by Albert Thorvaldsen. It depicts Áróra gliding through the air and casting roses of dawn over the earth. A winged assistant leans against her wing, holding a torch to light up the world. The piece is complemented by Nótt (Night).
