Sorry about the infrequent updates folks...
Personal reasons...
Hraun has had the most wonderful gigs for the past months...
We played in Djupavik in strandir, where we utilized the oppurtunity and recorded a song in one of the old tanks there.
Here it is... It's called "Love story from the mountains" and it's about a pair of trolls that miss their rondez vous and turn to stone... But the heart still beats under the lava...

We had some brilliant gigs in Rosenberg and Snullabar and also in the eastern fjords.
Svavar and Jon also did some silly busking in Siglufjordur in the middle of the night for some kids...

Also, we had a brilliant gig at Studentakjallarinn last thursday... What a party!

Next up: 23d and 24th of september...
Hraun will be playing at Café Rosenber down at Lækjargata...

Oh, yes... And the album is coming along nicely...

Lava! just finished playing at the "People's rock festival - I never went south..." yesterday.

yipeee...
We would have let you know if we would have known that it would all be broadcast live on the web, but they didn't let us know.

suck...
But it was so fun and everyone has been so nice to us :D
Then we met this girl who dubbed us "The most intimate and loveliest concert band in Iceland..." That was nice too :)

now we have to drive back 5 hours... yay...

Hello Everybody! And sorry about the long wait between bandblogs...
LAVA is going west to the westfjords this weekend to play on the bittersweet music fair of the working class: I never went south (I never went south by southwest either...). We're also going to bring a little Partypack to our favorite place in the world, "The wagon" on Flateyri! We'll be playing partymusic there on the good Friday...
To put things into perspective, we'll be playing against the Icelandic supergroup "In black clothes" (Das Islandiche SüperGruppe: "Im Schwartzen Kleiden") But we don't care... We're just gonna jam in the good feeling with our independent crowd.

See you on the Western fjords!

Hi, since everybody could not make it to last weekends concert at Rosenberg, we wanted to post two live recordings from the concert.
