My NES Controller PC conversion

NES controller PC conversion

Well, this is my 'version' of a NES controller for the PC, it uses the Paralell port interface, and drivers can be found here.
There was one thing i got into trouble with while making this thing, and that's the outrageous power demands of the NES controller and the lack of info one the net about it, some say it needs 3V but others 5V, i believe it uses 5V, because it did'nt work with 3V. I used an old Molex connector from a fan, connected two wires to 5V+ (Red), and GND (Black, i used the one next tho the red one :). Now 5V+ is connected to the White wire of the NES controller and the GND is connected to the Brown wire of the NES controller. The schematic shows how the other wires are connected, you don't need to connect the power (brown+white) to the DB25 connector (did'nt even work when i did that:) so ignore them. The Red wire from the NES controller connects to pin number 2 on the DB25 connector, the orange one connects to pin 3, and the yellow wire connects to pin 10, simple? :)

Got this schematic from Brad Heggeseth's Page http://www.heggeseth.com/
He has good info on how to connect the thing, but he did'nt mention the power needs of the controller. :)
